Pretarget was founded by Keith Pieper, founder of the industry’s first trading desk within Universal McCann (now known as Cadreon) and 15 year veteran of online digital advertising. Pretarget’s roots are in keywords, with research dating back to 2006 and a patent for keyword based algorithms. The company started in 2010, is entirely self-funded, profitable and has offices in San Francisco with clients in the US and Europe.

Pretarget offers keyword based intent ad targeting using patented and patent-pending internet search and behavioral algorithms that reach users “ahead of the click”. Pretarget’s hybrid contextual-behavioral targeting complements existing search and retargeting campaigns with custom keyword based segmentation. No site tagging is needed. Pretarget is well suited for online advertisers who have maxed out search, find site retargeting offers little scale, are fiercely competitive and see the value of an ad impression.
